Melamine is a high-quality thermosetting resin, aesthetically similar to porcelain, light and break-resistant. It has great qualities of which are the facts that it is certified to come in contact with food, does not absorb odours, and withstands temperatures from -20°C up to 70°C. Hence, it can be easily placed in the refrigerator or freezer. However, it is not suitable for oven or microwave use and should not come in direct contact with hot surfaces.
