USE & CARE FOR POLISHED CARBON STEEL ITEMS
1) Before use, take off the label sticker applied on the internal surface: to easily remove it heat up the pan
2) remove the protective film applied over the pan by boiling some water in it
3) wash the pan with hot water and detergent
4) to carefully dry the pan with soft cloth and never let it air dry
5) grease the internal surface of the item with olive oil: it will help the surface handle the heat while cooking.
– After removing the protective film, always keep the pan slightly oiled.
– Since the products have no coating, to remove residual food, it is recommended to leave the pan to soak in hot water and detergent for one hour max; if necessary, use a non-abrasive sponge, proceed to cleanse, rinse and dry the product carefully.
– Before putting away the pan, grease both the internal and external surface with olive oil, wrap it in paper and store it in a plastic bag.
– Gracima’s items are designed to be utilized on the gas stove top or over the flame.
– Never put empty pans on the stove top; slowly heat without over-heating and always check the flame/temperature.
– Polished carbon steel items must never be used at a temperature over 250°C and must never be left in the oven for over 10 minutes.
– For the oven it is recommended the use of the enamelled IDEAL line.
– Do not use the products in the microwave.
– Always use wood or metal kitchen utensils with the pans; plastic tools are to be avoided since this kind of products are likely to be damaged by the high temperature.
– Since the temperature reached while using these pans is very high, never leave these items on the stove unsupervised. Keep away from children’s reach.
