Napoletana coffee maker
The Napoletana coffee maker is an icon of the Italian heritage. What the majority of people don’t know is that the Napoletana was actually invented in France at the beginning of the XIX century and was later introduced in Italy, where it became a symbol of Italian style around the world Just think about the scene from Vittorio De Sica’s movie “Ieri, oggi e domani”, where Sophia Loren brews a cup of coffee for Vittorio Gassman with the Napoletana…so iconic!!
The success of this coffee maker is linked to the historical time of its production, i.e. the post-war years, in which Italians slowly rediscovered the taste of coffee after a long period of suffering and deprivation. A historical time in which it was finally possible to rediscover the pleasure of relaxing and enjoying this precious drink. Learn more about the Napoletana ILSA!

but..can you find a Napoletana coffee maker everywhere around the world?!
Not long ago a Canadian girl sent us the pic of a more than 50 years old ILSA Napoletana coffee maker which belonged to her great-grandmother! A that point we actually began to ask ourselves how many people around the world own a Napoletana.
This is the question that inspired the “Napoletana Ilsa the Journey”. What happened next, you might ask? The “vintage” coffee maker became a modern travel blogger, which allowed us to get into contact with people from every corner of the globe.
